Your Mission
The Welder is responsible for manufacturing and assembling metal components according to technical drawings and specifications. This professional must be able to read and interpret blueprints and technical schematics to perform precise, high-quality work. Responsibilities include selecting appropriate welding techniques, preparing surfaces, performing welding operations, and maintaining equipment. The Welder-Fabricator ensures weld quality, promotes a safe work environment, and communicates effectively with team members.
You Will Have the Opportunity To:
Weld and assemble metal components according to technical drawings and specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints to perform precise welds and assemble metal structures as required.
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, fitting, and grinding metal parts to ensure proper adhesion and welding quality.
Select the appropriate welding methods based on materials, project requirements, and company standards.
Perform maintenance and basic upkeep of welding equipment and tools.
Inspect and verify weld quality using non-destructive testing methods while adhering to established quality standards.
What We’re Looking For:
Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in Welding and Fitting, Welding, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of welding and metal fabrication techniques used in industrial manufacturing.
Ability to read and follow technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics for welding and assembly work.
Proficiency in the use of welding equipment and fabrication tools, such as welding machines, torches, saws, and drills.
Ability to produce high-quality welds and assemble components that are both functional and visually appealing.
Commitment to workplace safety standards and safe work practices.
Ability to adapt to production requirements and solve problems creatively and efficiently.
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills in a collaborative work environment.
Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and demonstrate initiative and accountability.
