Impulsion
First presented in the heart of Montreal’s Quartier des spectacles, Impulsion transforms Place des Festivals into a large-scale interactive playground through a series of responsive seesaws.
The concept by Lateral Office and CS Design invites people of all ages to play together. With every movement, the seesaws respond through light and sound, creating an evolving interaction shaped by the participants’ actions.
Jack World provided the technical design and fabrication of the interactive seesaws, as well as support for their deployment in different contexts. Each unit was developed for intensive public use while preserving the fluidity of the design and the creative intent of Lateral Office and CS Design.
This interactive artwork becomes a gathering place where each person’s movement contributes to a shared moment.
