Fonte : le feu sacré
Imagined by GSM Studios, this permanent exhibition highlights the collection of Alain Lemaire, co-founder of Cascades, which brings together more than 100,000 objects illustrating the evolution of this material’s uses over time. Through a selection of artifacts, the exhibition reveals a part of Quebec’s industrial and cultural heritage.
At the heart of the exhibition, an interactive carousel presents a selection of cast iron objects within a structure that the public can set in motion themselves. This installation offers a new way to explore this heritage and rediscover objects that were once part of everyday life.
Jack World provided the technical design, fabrication, and installation of the custom furnishings, as well as the interactive carousel. The creation of this central piece required developing a system capable of displaying the artifacts while allowing smooth interaction.
The custom furnishings developed for the exhibition support the presentation and highlight the featured objects while allowing them to remain the focus.
Fonte : le feu sacré gives new life to these witnesses of the past, inviting the public to reconnect with a part of Quebec’s collective heritage.
